INVESTMENT OFFICER
 
We are currently accepting applications/resumes in Fulton County for an Investment Officer. This position is responsible for overseeing the entire investment management process for the Trust and Wealth Management Division, staying current on investment, market, and economic conditions, and coordinating the investment activities of the Relationship Managers.
 
The Investment Officer must demonstrate exceptional patience, maintaining composure under pressure, and exercising sound judgment. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential to ensure all work is performed thoroughly and correctly. A strong client-oriented approach is required, balancing client needs with adherence to company policies and procedures. The role demands financial aptitude, including the ability to interpret and explain economic and accounting information, manage budgets, and make prudent long-term investment decisions. Effective oral and written communication skills are critical for conveying complex information clearly and concisely. The position requires strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to proactively address challenges and develop effective solutions. Building and maintaining relationships with clients and colleagues is a key component, supported by interpersonal skills that foster collaboration and trust. Candidates must possess a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices, as well as comprehensive knowledge of investment instruments and their associated risks and rewards.
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Relationship Managers, Financial Planners, and Wealth Management Administrators/Assistants on their investment management responsibilities for their assigned account relationships.
  • Develop and maintain the individual equity, mutual fund, and exchanged-traded guidance and focus lists and monitor quality and ratings of fixed income securities.
  • Prepare and conduct presentations to institutional and individual clients on investment performance and economic and market conditions.
  • Review investment performance reports and communicate results to Relationship Managers and clients.
  • Participate in meetings and presentations with owners or beneficiaries of assigned account relationships or as requested by Relationship Managers.
  • Create and conduct group investment educational sessions for businesses and organizations.
  • Facilitate large scale portfolio rebalancing.
  • Develop and maintain the division's intentional asset allocation strategies and investment models for each investment objective.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of client financial plans.
 
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or work equivalent.
  • Three years of job-related experience in analyzing securities, managing investment portfolios in a fiduciary manner, and familiarity with all trust functions and bank, legal and regulatory requirements.
  • CFP®, CFA®, CPA, and/or other similar professional designation preferred or willing to obtain.
