Unremembered: Tales of the Nearly Famous and the Not Quite Forgotten
Parlin-Ingersoll Public Library is proud to present “Unremembered” by local author and radio personality, Ken Zurski, on Thursday, February 21, 2019, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Zurski will speak on his latest work, Unremembered: Tales of the Nearly Famous and the Not Quite Forgotten.
Zurski makes the following comments on this work: “This is a history book about people and events that were famous once, now mostly forgotten. It’s also about how lives connect and intertwine. Using a flowing narrative of multiple themes, I chronicle these fascinating figures in ways that made them instantly popular and reveal (good or bad) why today they are the stories of the Unremembered.”
Previous works by Zurski include The Wreck of the Columbia: a Broken Boat, a Town’s Sorrow, and the End of the Steamboat Era on the Illinois River and Peoria Stories: Tales from the Illinois Heartland.
Copies of Unremembered will be available for purchase ($18.95) and signing at the program. Please join us for this delightful look back into history.
