Families may enjoy exploring, discovering, and learning in the natural world at this new fishing event on Sunday, June 17, at Banner Marsh State Fish & Wildlife Area! Participants may bring their own fishing gear, blankets, lawn/camping chairs, and sunscreen and should dress appropriately for this outdoor activity. Light refreshments will also be available. Registration is not required. The Family Fishing Event is co-hosted by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Illinois State Museum-Dickson Mounds, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services-Chautauqua National Wildlife Refuge.
