Canton Area Job Fair

Canton Area Job Fair will be held on Friday, March 29th at Spoon River College ~ Canton Campus from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm 
“This will be an excellent opportunity to discover what career opportunities are available in Central Illinois,” said Andrea Barbknecht, coordinator for SRC Community Outreach. This event is free, and staff from additional employment related resources will be present to assist job seekers. Informational booths about child care, military opportunities, and education are anticipated. 
“We always suggest that job seekers dress and prepare just as if they were going to an interview,” said Barbknecht. “First impressions do matter, so dress appropriately, have several copies of an updated resume to hand out, arrange for child care if needed, turn your cell phones off, and be prepared to talk with the employers.”
There is no cost to employers who are interested in hosting a booth, and they can register at
http://www.src.edu/job-fair. A list of employers attending can also be viewed by clicking on this link. Employers are being added daily and the list will be more complete as the date approached.
Members of the community, as well as students and alumni from Spoon River College and other area colleges and universities, are encouraged to attend.
